1. Our Approach to Privacy
PlainSubs is designed to work without an account or a developer-operated backend. Edge Digital does not collect, receive, sell, or share your personal information, subscription records, usage data, or analytics. We cannot see the information you enter in the app.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
Subscription names, prices, currencies, payment dates, notes, settings, and other information you add to PlainSubs are stored locally on your device. This information is used only to provide the app's features, such as spending summaries, upcoming-payment views, widgets, and payment reminders.
3. Optional iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud for PlainSubs, your app data can be stored in your private iCloud database and synchronized across devices signed in to your Apple Account. This service is operated by Apple and is subject to Apple's terms and privacy policy. Edge Digital does not operate a copy of this database and cannot access or view your private iCloud data.
You can use PlainSubs without iCloud sync. You can control iCloud access through your device settings.
4. Notifications and Widgets
If you grant permission, PlainSubs uses Apple system services to show payment reminders and widget content. Edge Digital does not receive the content of your reminders or widget data. You can change notification and widget permissions in your device settings at any time.
5. JSON Import and Export
PlainSubs lets you import and export subscription data as JSON. You choose the files and where exported files are saved or shared. These files are not sent to Edge Digital. You are responsible for protecting exported files after they leave the app.
6. No Tracking, Advertising, or Purchases
PlainSubs contains no advertising, third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, subscriptions, paywalls, or in-app purchases. We do not build user profiles or track you across apps or websites.
7. Data Retention and Your Choices
Your local data remains on your device until you remove it or delete the app. If you use iCloud, synchronized data may remain in your private iCloud storage until you delete it through the app or your Apple Account and iCloud storage controls. You may export your data as JSON at any time.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if PlainSubs or applicable requirements change. Any revision will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
